Pursuant to Act 206 (2018), Section 712-1258, Hawaii Revised Statutes, it is unlawful for any student under the age of twenty-one to purchase or possess any tobacco product or Electronic Smoking Device (ESD).  In addition, any tobacco product or ESD found in a student’s possession is committing a Hawaii Administrative Rules (HAR) Chapter 19 offense.  It shall be seized by school administration and forfeited to law enforcement. UPDATE: The extra pick up session on Wednesday Aug 19th, will now be from 12 noon to 1:45 PM. If you are unable to make your designated pickup time or the extra session, please call the office at 808-727-4500 to schedule another time. 

Hi Surfers! From Monday, August 17th thru Wednesday, August 19th Lihikai will be having a "Drive Up Distribution" for students. We are asking that parents/guardian and students come to pick up items each student will need to start off the school year and participate in distance learning. We will also be asking parents/guardians to fill out any necessary forms (or drop off your student forms if already pre-completed ***Please click here for forms that you can print, fill out and bring). The Hawaiʻi State Department of Education (HIDOE) today launched the nation’s first statewide, comprehensive help desk providing technology support to public school students and their parents as schools offer more opportunities for online and blended learning.

The ʻOhana Help Desk will provide self-service and chat support for families experiencing issues connecting to HIDOE systems remotely from home. The help desk will be able to assist with connectivity-related issues (e.g. network and wifi connectivity), access and security issues, device support (e.g. devices, applications, software updates) and general IT support.

The ‘Ohana Help Desk will be open to support students and parents:

  • By phone at 643-DESK (3375) Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays from 4 to 8 p.m. The help desk will be closed on state holidays.

  • Online 24/7 at for self-service support and information.

HIDOE students and families will have access to a new health hotline and telehealth services provided by the Hawai‘i Keiki: Healthy and Ready to Learn Program to deliver equitable access to health resources and care for HIDOE students using mobile devices and interactive technology. The health hotline can be reached at (844) 436-3888 (toll free) Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
